When to Use Comic Sans

I’m not a sports fan, but I know that the owner of the Cavs is getting a lot of ‘stuff’ for using Comic Sans when ranting about some basketball player leaving.  Had a great discussion with our UX guy and GM this morning about Comic Sans and he put together a very detailed but simple process flow for determining when to use Comic Sans:
